A brief history of SUGAR FIRE by Richard Dalby

In 2005, I was invited to take part in an 'Electronica Fest', and this sparked off a new period of writing, collaborating on several tracks with Grenadan born drummer & poet, Judah Allen.

I was honoured to perform alongside two Classical Indian vocalists, Sarvamangala Shankar & Rashmi ManjunathaShantha Rao, the highly respected classical Indian dancer, also performed to a re-mix track featuring the vocals of David SylvianTheir grace and sublime performances made it an incredibly special concert.

In April 2006 I performed at the 'Concert for Tibet'. The line up again featured Judah Allen, as well as Mick West on trumpet and electric guitar.

Richard Dalby, with the Khenpo of Shechen Monastery, Nepal, handing over donation raised from the 'Concert for Tibet' CD.

I recently released my debut CD called 'Concert for Tibet'.

It features performances from the 'Concert for Tibet', as well as 'Bhajan' with Rashmi & Sarvamangala's astonishing vocals, re-mastered studio tracks, and re-mixes by CalderValium & Chemical Monkey.  All profits from the concert and CD are donated to humanitarian projects within Tibet.
